We are looking for a **Power Inverter Hardware Electronic Designer** for the Motorsport R&D department.
He/she is part of the hardware R&D team.
He/she should guarantee accurate management of design, debug and support activities about assigned product or part of it, according to the development process.
- Feasibility studies of the inverter power stage (from tens to some hundred kilowatt)
- Design of the complete electronic of the apparatus (power stage, schematics of electronics boards, BoM)
- Define the HW/SW interface working in collaboration with SW designer/System Architect.
- Perform losses calculation and thermo-electric simulation of the power stages
- Debug and validation of the converter
- Testing flow definition
- Release and update the documentation of the product
- Support activity of the Motorsport production (SOP and issues)
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Education oriented to Power Electronic
- Good Knowledge of electrical system/equipment and testing in High voltage (1000V) environment
- Good Knowledge of English
- Knowledge of standard CAD for electrical design. Use of Mentor Design Capture and XDesigner schematic entry.
- Good Knowledge of Spice, Matlab/Simulink
- Ability to use lab standard instrumentation (Oscilloscope, multimeter, Signal Generator, Logic State Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, etc) for debug activity
- Knowledge of EMC problems, signal integrity, and guidance rules.
- Basic knowledge of Firmware development for embedded system and real time operating systems.
- 3-5years' experience in similar role is a must. Automotive (preferred), traction or industrial.
