Nidec Conversion is hiring a Certification & Compliance Specialist for Montebello Vicentino (VI)
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The candidate is responsible for following all the direct and indirect activities related to the certification and conformity of the products developed and supplied by the company (power converters, electric drives, automation, renewable energies, and other industrial applications).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
It is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities related to product certifications on the basis of company plans and programs, guaranteeing the achievement of the established objectives, in compliance with the defined deadlines and budgets. It carries out on its own or coordinates the activities related to the certification processes including:
* identification of certification requirements.
* identification of the applicable Regulations, Laws, and Technical Standards and, when necessary, study and implementation of the same.
* identification of third-party bodies and test laboratories suitable for achieving the certification purpose.
* establishes, in accordance with the certification requirements, the documentation to be prepared on its own and supports the drafting of further documentation by other company departments.
* prepares the product technical file as regards the aspects of certification and conformity.
* collaborates in the definition and scheduling of the tests to be performed in the company or in external laboratories: when required, participates in the execution of the tests.
* ensures the validation processes of company products/projects.
* prepares the declarations of conformity or other documents relating to product conformity.
* follows the certification aspects connected to the projects and orders acquired in support of the Engineering, Production and Management teams.
* supports the phases of the commercial offer with its own knowledge.
* performs thematic analyzes related to risk assessment, product reliability, safety.
* applies the principles of the Quality Management System for the aforementioned activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
Knowledge and experience
* Good knowledge of Windows/Office package is required.
* A minimum knowledge of the principles of Quality is required.
* A minimum knowledge of the national and international regulatory system is required: CEI, EN, IEC standards, etc.
Further preferential knowledge:
* power electronics, electric drives, automation, electronic boards.
* the principles of product reliability.
* of the principles of Functional Safety applicable to the machinery.
* of the IEC, EN Technical Standards applicable to electrical and electronic systems, drives and renewables.
* the principles of LCA, Ecodesign, Efficiency on environmental issues related to electrical/electronic products.
Knowledge of languages
A good knowledge of the English language is required, including written and spoken.
Availability
Willingness to:
* short national and international trips, based on the needs identified from time to time;
* move between corporate offices as necessary.
