In this role, you help leading insurers transform business models, processes, and technology landscapes through digital transformation, AI, cloud, and data analytics. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and technology to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and data-driven decision making. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to thought leadership, shaping innovative insurance solutions. This is a growth-focused role in IBM Consulting that emphasizes impact, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Understand client challenges and transformation priorities for Life, Non-Life, Health, and Brokers in insurance
- Analyze core processes (underwriting, policy administration, claims, distribution, pricing, customer engagement) to identify optimization opportunities
- Design and implement digital transformation programs enabled by AI, analytics, cloud, automation, and ecosystem integration
- Translate business requirements into functional/technical solutions with IBM solution architects
- Contribute to business case development, ROI analysis, and value realization tracking
- Conduct assessments and current-state analyses to define target operating models for insurers
- Support proposal development, client workshops, and executive presentations
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and cross-disciplinary communication
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, insurtech, and competition
- Contribute to IBM thought leadership through industry insights and assets
Qualifications
- Experience in insurance-related transformation projects
- Experience as a consultant or business analyst in the insurance sector or in insurance-focused consulting
- Strong understanding of insurance business models, processes, regulatory landscape, and market trends
- Knowledge of digital transformation topics: AI, cloud, data analytics, automation, platform modernization
- Ability to gather requirements, map processes, perform gap analyses, and support solution design
- Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication skills for business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams across consulting, technology, and delivery
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
