Overview
As Senior Functional Safety Engineer at Allegro MicroSystems in Milan, you own the functional safety lifecycle for automotive IC projects, from concept to production. You will define safety architectures for next-generation mixed-signal SoCs and ensure ISO 26262 compliance, working autonomously with cross-functional teams. You’ll serve as the technical interface for customers and assessors, shaping safety concepts and validating analyses. This role offers impact across cutting-edge semiconductor safety that drives reliable, safe mobility.

Responsibility & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of automotive functional safety experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years
* Comprehensive ISO 26262 knowledge and practical application to hardware and software development
* Proven track record leading safety activities for automotive mass-produced products
* Expertise in safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA) and semiconductor failure modes
* Strong analytical and project management skills with ability to influence stakeholders
* Desirable Functional Safety certifications (CFSP, CFSE)
