Role Overview:
The Purchase Specialist ensures continuity of supply while optimizing total procurement costs and maintaining quality standards.
The role manages the full purchasing cycle, from RFQs and offers evaluation to negotiations and order issuance.
It develops and monitors supplier performance through structured KPIs and supports riskmitigation initiatives.
Market analysis and benchmarking contribute to costsaving opportunities and informed decisionmaking.
Close collaboration with Production, Planning, Quality, and Finance ensures effective alignment with operational needs.
In your role you will:
Ensure continuity of supply.
Optimise total costs (TCO – Total Cost of Ownership).
Maintain the quality and compliance of purchased materials and services.
Manage and develop supplier bases.
Mitigate supply chain risks.
Manage operational purchasing processes (RFQ, offer analysis, purchase order issuance).
Negotiate economic and contractual conditions.
Monitor supplier KPIs (OTIF, quality, lead time, economic performance).
Analyze raw material price trends and perform market benchmarking.
Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and finance teams.
Manage master data and contracts in the ERP system.
Support saving and cost-reduction projects.
The ideal candidate has:
Degree in Management Engineering or related disciplines: (Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain).
Knowledge of English: (at least C1 level for interactions and documentation).
2-4 years of relevant experience in the procurement department, preferably in food and beverages.
Nice to have:
Advanced skills in Excel and analytical tools Location: Reggio Calabria, Italy
