Job Overview
Mangiarotti SpA, subsidiary of Westinghouse Group, leads in manufacturing of Large Pressure Equipment and Heat Exchangers for the Nuclear Industry. We seek an Ingegnere di Saldatura to ensure weld quality and compliance with applicable codes, design requirements, technical specifications, and contractual standards.
Responsibilities
* Adopt an ethical work approach and conduct in line with the Nuclear Safety Culture philosophy.
* Organize and coordinate weld testing activities for procedures and mock‑ups.
* Use in depth knowledge of applicable codes and various welding processes, demonstrating the ability to manage and organize multiple tasks across projects.
* Develop prototypes to design and validate new welding solutions.
* Apply industrial process engineering fundamentals to welding procedures.
* Implement robotics in welding activities.
* Supervise mechanical lab tests required to validate qualifications and procedures.
* Know ASME / EN / RCC-M codes and main ASTM and EN standards regulating mechanical tests, lab tests, welding processes, and associated materials.
* Issue welding procedures/qualifications and technical documentation (WB – WPS / PQR) in accordance with applicable codes and client-imposed standards.
* Select feedstock materials for each project based on codes, standards, and contractual specifications, demonstrating detailed knowledge of welding materials in line with joint design and fabrication solutions.
Qualifications
* Degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
* Excellent knowledge of English.
* Required professional qualifications: Welding Technologist or Welding Engineer (IWT/IWE).
