Global Bid & Proposal Manager
Your role and responsibilities
* Manage tenders, risk reviews, and ensure proposals for PTU are timely, competitive, and profitable using ABB tools and databases.
* Lead the design and development of PTU solutions for data centers and/or other mission critical applications, including medium and low voltage distribution, medium and low voltage UPS systems and others.
* Implement proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for the customer target group.
* Interpret technical documentation to align with design intent and provide applications engineering support to customers and sales teams.
* Collaborate across internal teams and vendor partners to develop executable proposals, negotiate effectively, and leverage ABB’s full product portfolio.
* Ensure compliance with customer requirements and government contracting standards while proactively seeking training to enhance commercial operations capabilities.
Qualifications for the role
* Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience working in the electrical distribution industry, data center experience preferred.
* 10+ years of experience required; previous project engineering, quotations, contract negotiation or technical sales experience preferred, and more than 5 years PTU solutions experience required. UPS & Critical Power systems experience is a plus.
