The Financial Controller will manage and coordinate the finance function and lead a dedicated Team. This Group Role will share and work collaboratively to achieve the goals of Champion EMEA. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Supervise the monthly closing process and ensure accurate and timely Management Reporting under US GAAP; - Support both the Business and the Corporate Finance Team with the preparation of the yearly budget, quarterly forecasts and long-range plans; - Cooperate with Sales & Operations to provide trusted commercial insights and analysis, fostering business activities throughout the entire Order-to-Cash cycle; - Coordinate the Team on all the economic and financial transactions (AR, AP, GL); - Prepare the Cash Flows Forecast, process banking transactions and cooperate with Corporate Treasury to execute cash management strategies; - Prepare the Annual Report and Statutory Financial Statements in compliance with the local regulations, as well as any other financial report as required by local authorities; - Ensure full compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and with any other applicable policies and procedures; - Support the company with requests coming from both internal and external auditors; - Liaise with the Corporate and local tax Teams with direct and indirect tax compliance matters. JOB QUALIFICATION - Proficient in MS Excel and other financial software; knowledge of SAP will be considered a strong plus; - Highly organized, detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritize projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines set by the management; - Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work schedule for themself and the team while working within agreed timescales; - Excellent attention to detail, ability to analyze and interrogate high volumes of data, as well as demonstrated ability to focus on higher level overview; - Proven ability in managing sensitive matters whilst ensuring all Champion Europe information remains confidential to the business; - Effective and persuasive presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information making it understandable to all areas of the business; - Ability to lead, influence, and coach others. SKILLS AND ATTITUDE - Bachelor or master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or similar; - Full proficiency in professional English. Proficiency in Italian will be considered as a plus; - 5 years of relevant work experience as financial controller in international businesses operating in EMEA; - Previous experience in the FMGC or Fashion industry will be considered as a plus.
