Overview
Location: North Italy (with travel across Germany and Eastern Europe). Reports to: Sales Manager. Languages Required: Italian, English (mandatory); German (mandatory). Travel Requirement: 70% of the time for the first few months, then around 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
* Apply a strategic sales plan to develop the assigned regions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generating leads and closing deals.
* Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
* Conduct client visits (70%–50% travel required) to present our MES solutions and understand customer needs.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and technical support, to provide feedback on customer demands.
* Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
* Prepare regular reports and sales forecasts for the Sales Manager.
* Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand brand visibility.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial software or manufacturing technology.
* Good understanding of MES solutions and industrial processes.
* Fluency in Italian and English (mandatory); professional level in German is required.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a complex sales cycle.
* Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions (50% of the time).
* Strong reporting and analytical skills. High degree of autonomy and ability to work with a remote team and manager.
* Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred, but experience can replace a diploma.
