All activities must be compliant with the purchasing strategy.The overall role of the Direct Materials Buyer is vital in the supply chain, contributing to the efficiency and profitability of the manufacturing process by ensuring that the necessary materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, with the right quality level, and at the right cost. The role also contributes to the sustainability path in accordance with Ferrari guidelines.As part of the team, your responsibilities will include:Supplier Research and Selection: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships.Price Negotiation: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions to secure the best value.Purchase Order and Contract Management: Issue and monitor purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and economic conditions for informed purchasing decisions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, finance, and marketing departments.Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage supply contracts.Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports and analyses on purchasing activities.Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with legal and company regulations.Relationship Management: Maintain positive supplier relationships and resolve disputes.Required ProfileTo perform in this role, the following skills are required: questioning attitude and challenging the status quo, communication skills, problem-solving, ability to work within a team with multiple stakeholders, proactivity, and working knowledge of the Office suite.Frequency of travel: monthly (4-6 times per year).
