This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure a seamless travel experience for our CEOs (Tour Leaders), passengers, and supply chain partners. A significant part of the role focuses on financial accuracy, including verifying invoices, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating closely with the Finance department to reconcile expenses. /ppAdditionally, the Operations Specialist contributes to the optimization of existing itineraries and the development of new ones, ensuring both operational efficiency and financial integrity. /ppThis position is remote and requires residency in Italy. /ppbWhat you'll be doing /b /pulliCommunicate any significant trip details to vendors, suppliers, CEOs and other relevant individuals in preparation for a trip. /liliMonitor department email accounts as requested, actioning emails according to priority. /liliAction technical questions from GCO’s (Inside Sales department) concerning trips. /liliSupport the Reservations department with any aspects of a trip’s required reservations, modifications and cancellations in a timely and efficient manner. /liliHandle the region's finances including investigate and solve issues of incorrect invoices in a timely, and efficient manner. /liliIdentify problems in operations process and resolve them in a quickly and timely manner. /liliContribute to the enhancement of internal processes through identification, analysis, and implementation of efficiency and effectiveness improvements. /liliHandle incidents and assist CEOs and / or travellers in a professional, empathetic and efficient manner. /liliEnsure accurate validation of trip budgets. /liliContribute to the company performance and culture by fully embracing the G Adventures Core Values and promoting a positive and enthusiastic working environment. /liliAssist the Regional Operations Manager in day-to-day coordination, and management of business operational activities. /liliHelp create customized trips upon request. /liliDevelop a thorough understanding of and capability in all Department administrational roles and tasks in order to provide holidays / sick cover. /liliHelp prepare for and assist with the CEO recruitment, training, and provide the CEOs with the needed support. /liliCarry the Operations Emergency Phone on a rotational basis. /liliOther duties as assigned by Regional Operations Manager. /li /ulpbDesired Skills Experience /b /pulliAt least 2 years in the Tourism industry. /liliSuperior attention to detail and accuracy. /liliPositive attitude and the desire to be part of a close-knit and effective team. /liliExceptional English written and oral communication. /liliExperience in problem-solving and analytical thinking. /liliIn-depth regional knowledge of Western Europe, particularly France. /liliAdvanced organisational, time management and problem solving skills. /liliIntermediate knowledge of Excel and general computer skills. /liliAbility to adapt to an environment that is subject to constant change. /liliSolid knowledge of the Travel industry and geography of the region. /liliAn understanding and commitment to customer service. /liliFluency in French required. /liliAny experience as a tour leader is considered an advantage. /liliSelf-starter able to work remotely. /li /ulpbWhat do we offer you? /b /pulliCompetitive salary commensurate with the role. /liliCompetitive benefits package. /liliBirthday day off. /liliVacation time for you to recharge. /liliEnhanced Parental Leave. /liliLearning and growth opportunities. /liliEmployee Resource Groups. /liliApplicable based on location /li /ulpG Adventures is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
