We design and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects supporting the global energy transition.\nAs we scale internationally, we are strengthening our execution capabilities and are looking for a Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning and startup of our plants across multiple geographies. Role Overview\nThe Commissioning Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities for Energy Dome’s industrial-scale energy plants.\nThis is a highly operational role requiring strong on-site presence, technical depth, and structured execution capability. The position is based in Milan, with very frequent international travel during project execution phases.\nYou will ensure that plants are safely commissioned, tested, validated, and handed over according to contractual performance guarantees. Key Responsibilities Commissioning Strategy & Planning\nDevelop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules aligned with overall project timelines.\nDefine commissioning philosophy from early engineering phases.\nEnsure commissioning requirements are embedded into design and procurement.\nSite Execution & Coordination\nLead on-site commissioning activities.\nCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process, automation).\nSupervise pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning, functional testing, and system integration.\nEnsure compliance with HSE standards at all times.\nTechnical Oversight\nReview technical documentation, P&IDs;, control logic, and system configurations.\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues during startup.\nOversee performance testing and ensure contractual KPIs are achieved.\nInterface Management\nAct as key interface between engineering, construction, and operations teams.\nSupport Project Directors in resolving site technical challenges.\nInterface with clients during testing and handover phases.\nDocumentation & Handover\nEnsure proper recording of commissioning activities.\nValidate test reports and as-built documentation.\nSupport final handover to client or operations teams. Required Experience & Background\n8–12+ years of experience in commissioning industrial plants, power generation facilities, or complex infrastructure projects.\nStrong EPC background.\nHands-on experience in plant startup and troubleshooting.\nProven experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems integration.\nAvailability for very frequent international travel.\nEngineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or related field).
