ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Designer to support our partner in the automation sector based in Como.
What you will do:
* Perform and lead CAD design, engineering computer simulations, and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals
* Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem‑solving activities
* Deploy state‑of‑the‑art mechanical engineering development practices
* Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality
* Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third‑party engineering partners and suppliers
What you need to have:
* Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in various mechanical engineering research and development roles within an industrial environment is required
* Experience designing industrial products from concept through production is required
* Experience in a mechanical workshop is required
* Very good knowledge of materials requirements is required
* Knowledge of marking and coding equipment is a plus, but not required
* Proven experience in CAD design (Creo Direct/Windchill is a plus)
* Thermal/flow/pneumatics/electro‑mechanical testing is a plus as well as FEA/CFD analysis
* Experience working with SAP, nice to have
* Excellent Italian and English language skills are a must
