The roleWe are seeking an organized, experienced, and inspiring Creative Department Manager to oversee operational management within our Creative Department. Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, this senior leadership role involves project management, team leadership, resource planning, and creative supervision. Your main goal is to create the optimal environment for our talented team of creatives to deliver world-class live experiences.
You will proactively nurture the studio’s culture as envisioned by the Chief Creative Officer, continuously refining internal practices and policies to maintain a collaborative, engaging, and stimulating workplace. A strong understanding of creative, production, and operational demands for large-scale events is essential.
The ideal candidate thrives on providing structure and clarity, enjoys creating efficient processes, and is committed to fostering the best working conditions for our creative team.
Key Responsibilities

Creative/Design Workflow management:

Manage the operational inner-workings of the Creative/Design Department, leading a team of Creative Directors, Designers, Art Directors, and others.
Review and assess new project requests, understanding project details, creative asks, and deadlines.
Oversee resource allocation, matching skills to project needs in accordance with management.
Ensure timely delivery of creative outputs adhering to quality standards.
Manage organizational aspects such as vacation planning, absences, and internal coordination.
Coach and mentor junior team members.
Coordinate with HR and production to address staffing needs.


Internal coordination:

Facilitate communication between Creative/Design, Production, and Business teams.
Run weekly resource meetings and resolve capacity issues.
Maintain awareness of projects and initiatives.


Creative/Design Team Management:

Lead recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of creative staff.
Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
Address staffing needs proactively.


Talents Tech RD:

Build and maintain a network of creative talents.
Ensure talents are well-supported and evaluated.
Encourage innovation and research in creative techniques.
Archive RD materials properly.


Creative/Design Development Supervision:

Oversee the creative delivery of projects from the Show Ceremonies Unit.
Align creative outputs with management guidelines and strategic goals.



Requirements
Experience Background

At least 5 years in studio, production, or creative operations management, preferably in live entertainment or related fields.
Experience managing complex workflows and multidisciplinary teams.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on tight deadlines.

Skills Competencies

Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
High emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit.
Proficiency in Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, AI Tools.
Familiarity with digital tools like Airtable, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to process optimization.
Passion for live performance, entertainment, fashion, and culture.
Willingness to work long hours when necessary and to travel.
Fluent in English and Italian or willing to learn Italian.

Additional Details
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Milan.
