The Data Scientist's mission is to empower Fendi with data-driven insights that fuel strategic decision-making, enhance customer understanding, and drive business growth. By leveraging analytical expertise and a deep understanding of the business, the Data Scientist will identify opportunities for optimization, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to Fendi's continued success in the luxury fashion market.
As part of the LVMH Group, this role involves collaborating and interfacing with other entities within the group, providing a broader perspective and exposure to diverse business challenges and opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Proficiency in machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms with a strong understanding of their practical applications.
* Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to address complex business challenges, optimize operational efficiency, and deliver actionable insights.
* Analyze large, diverse datasets using advanced statistical and AI techniques to identify key trends, patterns, and correlations, transforming insights into data-driven recommendations for stakeholders.
* Work with customer and sales data, particularly within retail/consumer environments, to drive targeted business outcomes.
* Data collection, cleansing, and comprehensive analysis of large datasets from various sources, including customer, sales, and operational data repositories.
* Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support decision-making processes across the organization.
* Measure the impact of strategic initiatives and marketing campaigns using appropriate metrics and statistical methodologies.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data analysis projects.
* Communicate complex findings and strategic recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Participate in cross-functional projects, providing data-driven insights and support for key initiatives.
* Manage relationships with data vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and data quality is maintained.
Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
* 3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
* Proficiency in Python and R programming languages.
* Experience with data visualization tools, mainly Power BI.
* Preferably experience with Dataiku.
* Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work independently and in teams, performing under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven success in delivering data-driven analysis and recommendations to enhance business performance.
* Critical thinking, attention to detail, high organization, and a focus on luxury and quality.
* Interest in emerging technologies and data trends.
* Fluency in English and Italian is required.
