About MLC Presentation Design Consulting
MLC Presentation Design Consulting is a Milan-based boutique consultancy specializing in presentation design, data storytelling, and corporate training. We work with multinationals across food, pharma, luxury, and financial services. We redesign their most important decks and train thousands of professionals each year through our proprietary Lean Presentation Design methodology.
Job Description
We train people to design better presentations. Our trainers don’t lecture from a script: they open a real client deck, take it apart, and rebuild it live in front of the room. That’s the job.
We’re looking for a graphic designer who can do exactly that, stand in front of a corporate audience, redesign slides in real time, and explain every choice with clarity and authority. The reason we need a designer is simple: you can’t teach what you can’t do. Design credibility is what makes our trainers effective.
This is a training role for a designer, not a design role with some training on the side.
You’ll start by co-facilitating alongside senior trainers and progressively take ownership of full sessions. Over time, you’ll grow into an independent trainer and consultant who represents MLC in corporate and public settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver Lean Presentation Design workshops to corporate audiences, online and in person, with strong emphasis on live slide redesign and practical demonstration
• Co-facilitate with senior trainers initially, then lead sessions independently as you master the methodology
• Redesign real slides live during training sessions, demonstrating layout, hierarchy, typography, and data visualization choices in real time
• Give participants direct, credible visual feedback on their work, grounded in your authority as a designer
• Adapt exercises and examples to the audience’s industry, role, and skill level
• Create before-and-after slide redesigns for training materials, case studies, and client deliverables
• Support the development of webinar content and public training events
Requirements
Training & Facilitation (required)
You have already stood in front of a room and delivered training, workshops, or facilitated sessions — in a corporate, academic, or professional context. We’ll teach you our methodology, but we need someone who already knows how to engage an audience and manage a learning experience.
Design (essential)
• Degree or professional qualification in graphic design, visual communication, or a closely related communication design discipline. Candidates who studied graphic design specifically will be prioritized. Backgrounds in fashion design, apparel design, or furniture/product design will not be considered.
• Recent graduate or early career, up to 2-3 years since graduation, with professional experience in graphic design including internships (no freelance work will be considered)
• Solid command of visual fundamentals: grid systems, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, white space, and compositional balance
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint as a design tool, building layouts from scratch, master slides, shapes, precise alignment. If your design foundation is strong but your PowerPoint skills are developing, we’ll get you there
• A portfolio demonstrating your design work. Presentation design samples are ideal, but strong work in any format will be considered
Professional Presence (highly valued)
• Professional communication and polished presence — you’ll work with senior stakeholders at multinational companies
• Confidence explaining your design decisions clearly and persuasively to non-designers
• Collaborative, proactive attitude and comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Technical & Languages
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Figma is a plus but not required
• Basic knowledge of AI tools and genuine interest in staying current
• Professional proficiency in English and Italian, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
What MLC Offers
• Direct exposure to leading global brands, you’ll work on real materials from multinationals across industries
• Training on a proprietary methodology with over a decade of development and global application
• A clear growth path from junior trainer to independent trainer and consultant
• Full-time employment contract
• A small, senior team where your contribution is visible and your growth is fast
• Milan-based, on-site position
How to Apply
Send your portfolio and a brief note explaining why this role interests you. Make sure your portfolio is linked or attached.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to record a brief video introducing themselves and explaining their interest in the role. We want to see how you communicate, not just how you design.
* We review every application carefully. If your work and your presence stand out, we’ll be in touch.
