Mission: Steel purchases at European level and support Indirect Purchasing Policy execution in Italy Purpose: Ensure materials are bought at competitive prices, sourcing on time for different sites and development of new sources Major responsabilities: - Ensure materials are bought at competitive conditions and grant sourcing on time for the different sites. - Establish strategic relationships with key vendors, which are aligned to the company's needs. - Identify and if feasible execute new vendor developments. - Capacity to work in multidisciplinary environments with ability to work with associated departments, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance, etc. - Continues improvement in purchasing methods. - Supplier and sites visits abroad and overseas. Such visits may be at very short notice. - Carry out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology, identify, and implement improvements. - Reporting: Diligent in the quality and the timing of the reporting, will be responsible of several periodic reports. - Support Italian entities on executing the Indirect Purchasing Policy (including negotiation of contracts). Continue deployment of Ariba e-tool for Indirect Purchases. Knowledge, skills & Experience: - Engineering or economic background - Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in a Purchasing role in industry. Preferably in the steel or mechanical sector. - Knowledge of modern procurement and purchasing techniques. - Experience in manufacturing including scheduled deliveries. - Experience of purchase from low cost countries would be an advantage. - Management and coordination of Purchasing activities with relation to Cost, Delivery and Quality performance. Coordinating and managing with Demand Planner, purchase forecasts raw material and traded products. - Coordinating and managing with Quality personnel, resolutions to Supplier Quality concerns, ensuring timely and effective containment and long term resolution of each concern - Continuous development of self and individual team members. - Driving License required. - Fluent in English. - Microsoft office ability - ERP software knowledge (SAP) and management of purchasing through e-tools (Ariba) Based in Chiusi della Verna - Corsalone (AR) or Rivoli Veronese (VR) Lincoln Electric is waiting for you !
