What you will do The role, based in Italy R&D; Headquarters, belongs to European Dishwashing R&D; organization and has direct reporting line to the R&D; Director.
As Codes and Approval Manager he/she will be the Subject Matter Expert for all the activities related to compliancy and certification for all Haier Europe Dishwasher products. As consequence of that, in addition to Code and Safety compliance responsibilities, the role does require direct reports /people management capabilities, leadership skill to effectively cooperate with R&D; colleagues and with other business partners ( especially Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement)- Ensure products and components certificates and all technical documentation is kept up to date, according to actual Directives and Standards ( EN 60335-1, EN 60335-2-5,- RED 2014/53/EU- EMC, RoHs, REACH and ECODESIGN and UL/CASA for Dishwashers)- Ensure products EU Declaration of Conformity are properly complied and verified before submitting for final signature (required both for internally produced and OEM Dishwasher appliances).- Interact with external Notified Bodies to obtain brand new Certificates (CB) and to update existing ones.- Support and guide Engineers during product development phase to ensure selected design will meet EN/IEC Safety requirements.- Structurally organize validation test plan and ensure its execution in internal laboratories and if required execute the tests in person.- Attend Technical Committee, related to Dishwashing Category, representing Haier Europe.- Ensure the entire Dishwashing R&D; team is informed upfront about any possible future changes on Satefy Standards that may impact actual and ongoing products design.- Ensure and maintain Recognized Accreditation of internal Safety Laboratory. What you need to succeed Must have
- Education:_ Electronic Master or Bachelor degree
- Technical Skills:_- Strong Knowledge on Household Safety Directives and Standards especially on EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-2-5 (Specific for Household Dishwasher)- Knowledge on RED 2014/53/EU and on UL/CSA standard for Household Dishwashers (Nice to have)
- Professional Experience: _Experience on Household appliances certification processes and European and international directives and Safety standards, including knowledge of RoHS and REACH requirements
- Languages:_ Italian and English (fluent)
