Introduction to the Job - Nijhuis IT
Nijhuis Saur Industries, Industrial BU of Saur Group is centralizing and unifying their IT environment. The aim is to create a global IT team with people on-site being not only responsible for the local IT environment but also for the management of the IT environment which is hosted on the centralized IT infrastructure in the Netherlands. The global IT team currently consists of approximately 30 employees who are located in 5 different regions (EU & US).
The cybersecurity team is a Group organization that provides service to all BUs and entities. NSI IT security function acts as a relay to the group organization and is responsible for the implementation of group security requirements within the BU.
Job description
The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Specialist reports organizationally to the local IT Manager and functionally to the Infrastructure and Operations team leader.
The role will be part of the NSI Security Operating Committee and responsible for day-to-day group cybersecurity operations, maintaining and monitoring security tools, responding to incidents, and implementing key security frameworks and controls. The daily activities will range from supporting colleagues to planning and/executing complex projects, either on your own or as part of a team, which will impact on the entire Nijhuis Saur Industries BU or the local BU. A broad knowledge of all the IT aspects within a corporate network is therefore desirable.
During the onboarding period it may be expected to travel to the Netherlands for a short period of time. Afterwards, regular traveling is not expected.
Main Accountabilities:
Server Management
* Windows Server installation and management
* Active Directory administration
* Management of virtual environments (VMWare, Hyper-V)
* Troubleshooting
Network management
Router/Firewall installation and management:
* VPN tunnels
* DHCP
* DNS
* Log monitoring
* Troubleshooting
Switch installation and management:
* VLAN management
* Troubleshooting
Access points installation and management:
* Troubleshooting
Security Operations
* Design, manage and monitor cybersecurity tools (EDR, vulnerability scanners, email security, etc.)
* Support implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity requirements
* Maintain up-to-date cybersecurity documentation (policies, playbooks, asset inventories)
* Track vulnerabilities and ensure appropriate mitigation actions
* Incident lifecycle management
* Coordination and collaboration with group SOC
* Support cybersecurity awareness campaigns and training for employees
* Work collaboratively within the Group IT Security team to align on global standards
* Being involved in audits and assessment activities, follow-up nonconformities and corrective actions
* Collect and report KPIs to the BU CISO
* Promote and apply “security by design” principles in all technical and business processes
* Assess the cyber risk and impact of projects, changes, and processes
Project execution and change coordination
Role of technical change coordinator with colleagues, suppliers or yourself as project engineer
* Assess the security risk of the project
* Keeping track of progress and results.
* Maintaining overview and structure within the activities.

* Apply security by design principles in all aspects of the project

* Working with a ticketing system to keep track of open requests.

* Cooperate with the Global IT team within the scope established by the group.
You are meant for this job if you have
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.
Skills
* Proven experience in IT system & network administration, preferably in a corporate context.
* Profound knowledge of hardware, software, databases and all Windows operating systems.
* Ability to execute multiple complex projects/changes simultaneously.
* Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Results-oriented, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of threat detection tools, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and SIEM
* Proficiency in the logic of ticketing systems, RMM, MDM, networking and infrastructure architectures.
* Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory compliance (NIS2).
Certification and/or experience
Certification in the following subjects (preferable)
* Networking
* Cybersecurity
* Microsoft Windows Server
Cloud or networking certifications (e.g., Azure/AWS Security, Cisco) (preferable)
At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the industrial sector.
Language
* Italian: professional proficiency (spoken and written)
* English: professional proficiency (spoken and written)

* Windows OS (client and server)
* Microsoft Office 365
* ITSM systems, MDM, RMM, EDR (Sentinel One)
