About This Role
Join CAE’s Simulator Technician team based in Sesto Calende, Italy, working on advanced level simulators (helicopters). Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training centre, your role will be incredibly varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of the most modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge. It is a 24 / 7 operation with a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off.
Responsibilities
* Perform preventive maintenance on simulators and related systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot simulator issues.
* Use maintenance management systems to document activities.
* Complete required training.
* Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks.
* Perform basic visual alignments and run Qualification Tests.
* Assist with hardware refurbishment and modifications.
* Follow CAE quality standards.
* Support customer service and maintain cleanliness of simulators.
* Handle logistics, including parts management.
* Perform administrative tasks as needed.
* Support the technical services team.
Candidate Profile
* College diploma or degree in electronics, mechatronics, aeronautics, or mechanics; relevant hands-on experience is also acceptable.
* Flexible with shifts and adaptable to schedule changes.
* Ability to interpret system schematics.
* Proficient with test equipment and circuit repairs.
* Knowledge of analog / digital theory and basic computer skills.
* Fluent in English or Italian.
