Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead end‑to‑end testing strategy, planning, and execution for Retail IT applications in a development environment. The role involves managing functional, integration, system, and UAT testing across complex retail platforms such as e‑commerce, POS, ERP, OMS, WMS, and related integrations.
The Test Manager will work closely with development, business, product, and operations teams to ensure high‑quality, stable, and scalable retail solutions.

Experience: Typically 8–12 years overall testing experience (can be tuned)
Domain: IT – Retail / Digital & Enterprise Systems

Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
Define and own the overall test strategy for retail IT programs.
Prepare test plans, test schedules, effort estimates, and resource plans.
Establish testing standards, processes, and governance for development and release cycles.
Test Execution & Management
Manage end‑to‑end testing activities including:
Functional Testing
System & Integration Testing
Regression Testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
Ensure complete test coverage across retail business scenarios.
Track test execution, defects, risks, and mitigation plans.
Retail Domain Testing
Oversee testing of Retail IT applications, including:
E‑commerce platforms
POS systems
Inventory & Supply Chain systems
Order Management, Pricing, Promotions, and Payments
Validate end‑to‑end retail workflows such as order‑to‑cash, replenishment, returns, and fulfillment.
Defect & Quality Management
Manage defect lifecycle and ensure timely resolution with development teams.
Conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring issues.
Report quality metrics, test status, and risks to stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor test leads and test engineers.
Coordinate with developers, architects, business users, and product owners.
Support agile ceremonies and release readiness reviews.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Testing & Management Skills
Strong experience as a Test Manager / QA Manager in IT programs
Expertise in:
Test strategy and test planning
Test execution management
Defect management and reporting
Experience working in development‑led environments (Agile / Hybrid)
Retail IT Domain Expertise
Proven experience in Retail IT domain testing
Strong understanding of:
E‑commerce and omnichannel retail flows
Inventory, pricing, promotions, and payments
ERP / OMS / POS / WMS integrations
Tools & Methodologies
Experience with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, ALM, TestRail, etc.)
Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Good to Have
Experience managing automation and performance testing teams
Exposure to cloud‑based retail platforms
Knowledge of retail compliance and security testing
ISTQB or equivalent certification
