The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.
Main tasks:
* Project management of NAS for Services contracts execution.
Detailed tasks description and responsibilities
* The Service Project manager reports to the Head of Operative Service.
* He is accountable for customer projects in the domain of Airspace Mobility Solutions (NAVAIDS and Non-Radar Surveillance) with sales, costs, cash and project quality responsibility, ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.
* Ensures customer satisfaction and maintain Thales processes.
* Monitors project performances through relevant indicators (financial and schedule efficiency)
* Performs Risk Analysis related to his/her area of responsibility.
* Has full international exposure, managing international customers in multi-supplier environments
* Tasks and responsibilities are among others:
o Ensuring all necessary planning, execution and acceptance throughout the execution of the contract.
o Representing Thales interests within the assigned area of responsibility
o Analysis of the contract content and implementation in delivery and service packages
o onitoring and update project sales, sales forecast costs and time schedules
o Managing customer requests and contract changes to closure
o Managing external suppliers
o Creating and maintaining project documentation using Thales internal process instructions and tools
o Execung lessons learned from the project delivery and corresponding feedback to the departments
o Participating in offers, create schedules, costs and risk assessments
o Driving Change Order Management and “upselling” in running projects in close cooperation with the Legal & Contracts and Sales community
Education:
* Engineering degree or equivalent certification
* Certification PMI/PMP project manager (or comparable).
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management with focus in an international business.
* Good knowledge of business administration, contract management and supplier management.
* Ability to stay cool under pressure
* Good knowledge of relevant national/international regulations and standards for air traffic control is desirable
Skills:
* Fluent in English, spoken and written.
* German and/or French is a plus.
* Knowledge of Italian, spoken and written, is a must.
* Microsoft Office expert
* Excellent written presentation and reporting writing skills.
* Independence and creativity in solving problems.
* Project team leadership skills, lateral leadership
* Ability to influence stakeholders
* Customer oriented
* Negotiation experience and strength in dealing with international customers.
* Willingness to travel worldwide.
