PpFor our European Engineered Materials department we are looking for a dynamic and flexible Polymer Materials Engineer (m/f/i) with extensive knowledge of materials and plastics. The role involves working with domestic and international clients to evaluate materials according to American, European, and international requirements. The evaluations include fire resistance, temperature, UV, and impact resistance, research into PFAS and halogens, and applications in railways, automotive, and more. The engineer will work in a diverse international team, collaborating individually and with colleagues worldwide. /p pIn addition to excellent employment benefits, including an annual premio and hybrid‑working options, we offer a pleasant work environment and a great team. /p h3Possible work locations: /h3 ul liArnhem / Netherlands /li liNeu‑Isenburg / Germany /li liMilan / Italy /li /ul h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDetermine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation, and specify test plan, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input and supplemental data. /li liInitiate communication with clients to promote and explain benefits of new and existing services and follow up on contacts from clients. /li liCommunicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, negotiate completion dates and sample requirements. /li liAct to address client concerns and resolve client issues. /li liProvide technical assistance to clients regarding product inspection and follow‑up services; establish appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer’s information and applying UL requirements. /li liRemain familiar with applicable standards, company manuals, and appropriate technical literature. /li liExamine samples for compliance with UL requirements and notify clients of any areas in which the product is not compliant or of any changes in project scope or specifications. /li liCoordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions for technicians, scheduling and reviewing the work of laboratory technicians and engineering assistants and establishing completion dates. /li liCoordinate administrative aspects of project management. /li liMay serve as Project Handler of Record and/or Reviewer of Record as assigned. /li liCommunicate project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports. /li liPrepare Follow‑Up Service Procedures and information pages. /li liIntegrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job. /li liResolve engineering issues associated with FUS Non‑Conformances by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the Non‑Conformance. /li liAnalyze test program for adequacy and sequence. /li liMay coordinate and/or perform File Reviews, as directed. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liUniversity degree in polymer science, materials science, plastics engineering, chemistry, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience. /li liStrong communication, project management, and organizational skills. /li liEnglish language skills (fluent speaking/reading and writing are must). /li liGerman language skills (fluent speaking/reading and writing are must). /li liSpanish/Italian language skills (nice to have). /li liStrong customer service skills and willingness to go the extra mile. /li liGood analytical skills and a focus on continuous improvement. /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office. /li liGreat cooperation skills and openness for feedback. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
