Ph3Description /h3 pThe role will work closely with internal partners including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Project Management teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities through data analytics, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Voice of the Customer (VOC). Once opportunities have been identified, the role will support the development and implementation of improvements through activities including prototyping, lab testing, engineering validation, field testing, and rollout coordination across the WW Robotics network. /p pThe role will develop technical depth in one or more engineering areas including mechanical systems, controls, robotics, and automation. The engineer will work with cross‑functional stakeholders to support a positive customer experience for Operations and Maintenance teams. Additionally, the role will provide feedback and operational insights to support the development and improvement of new products and systems. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 pThe Product Launch Engineer supports RDPI solutions post‑deployment by resolving difficult systems problems across mechanical, controls, robotics, and automation domains. The engineer applies structured problem‑solving methodologies including 8D, DMAIC, RCA, and 4M to identify root causes, determine short‑term mitigations, and make implementation trade‑off decisions balancing time, quality, and resources. /p pThe role delivers projects where requirements are generally defined but implementation details may not be fully defined. Responsibilities include supporting the improvement lifecycle through data analysis, prototyping, testing, solution development, field validation, documentation, and rollout support. The engineer works independently on assigned tasks while seeking direction as needed and escalating risks appropriately. /p pThe engineer influences within the team and collaborates with partner teams including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Project Management to achieve project goals. The role contributes to design, scoping, and prioritization discussions, provides input to refine requirements, and builds effective working relationships with stakeholders. The engineer creates and improves SOPs, documentation, and runbooks, and develops automation or tooling that helps simplify operational workloads and improve scalability. /p pThe role participates in operational excellence initiatives, supports onboarding and knowledge sharing activities, and may mentor newer team members. The engineer contributes to troubleshooting efforts by understanding system interactions, analyzing logs and system behavior, and identifying patterns impacting system performance, reliability, and availability. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field /li liExperience leading engineering projects and working with cross-functional teams /li liExperience communicating with users, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives, and support process improvements /li liExperience working with development and business teams to communicate operational impacts and understand business requirements /li liExperience working with complex systems in a systems engineering, technical lead, launch engineering, or technical program role /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Engineering, Systems Development, or a related field /li liExperience identifying operational risks and resolving, mitigating, or escalating them /li liExperience with mechatronic, robotic, or packaging automation systems in a fulfillment or manufacturing environment /li liExperience educating others on maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and infrastructure of team systems /li liExperience in systems engineering /li liMaster’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field /li liSystems engineering experience /li /ul h3Equal Employment Opportunity /h3 pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
