Our Group Digital Manufacturing team is looking for a highly skilled Industrial Automation Enginee r to help drive the next generation of connected, data driven industrial systems.
In this role, you will be at the intersection of automation, connectivity, and digital manufacturing, contributing directly to the integration of production lines with MES, SCADA, and higher-level enterprise systems.
You will work hands-on with PLCs, industrial networks, and field devices, collaborating closely with IT and plant teams to deliver robust end to end solutions.
Your Role As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and testing of industrial automation systems, with a strong focus on industrial communications and system integration across the factory ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Analyze, understand and modify Siemens PLC programs for production lines and automated machiner.
Design, manage and evolve machine-to-machine and machine-to-system connectivity Configure and manage OPC servers (Kepware or equivalent) to enable seamless integration with SCADA, MES, and ERP platforms Select and size sensors, actuators, and I/O networks (in close collaboration with plant operations) and control hardware (including PLCs, HMIs, converters, and I/O modules) Draft, maintain, and update technical documentation, including communication standards and system specifications Provide hands-on support during installation, testing and commissioning phases at plant sites Lead full lifecycle delivery of industrial automation projects Collaborate with IT, Production, and Maintenance teams to ensure effective, secure, and scalable end to end system integration Work closely with suppliers to solve issues and lead improvement initiatives What We're Looking For Master degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field 3+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and development of industrial automation systems integrated with other machines and higher-level platforms Strong expertise in Kepware and industrial communication protocols, including: OPC UA / OPC DA, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, PN/PN, Siemens environments Solid experience with sensor integration (analog/digital sensors, encoders, proximity sensors, etc.) Proven experience working with SCADA and/or MES systems Basic knowledge of IIoT and Industry 4.0 architectures Strong problem-solving mindset, operational autonomy, and ability to work effectively in cross functional teams Excellent automation project management skills.
