About the Role
The Senior Finance Manager oversees the organization's financial health and performance, leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.The Senior Finance Manager will ensure compliance with financial regulations, develop internal controls and drive process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.The Senior Finance Manager reports to the Managing Director – Italy and is responsible for the European Administration & Accounting department.
Responsabilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)
Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Managing Director to support strategic decisions.
Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the relevant standards and the internal procedures.
Present financial performance reports and variance analysis
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Accounting & Compliance
Maintain compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
Work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Business Partnering
Collaborate with business units to evaluate financial performance, investment opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives.
Support cross-functional teams with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Strategic Initiatives
Drive process automation and digital transformation within the finance department.
Participate in strategic projects such as M&A; analysis, capital allocation, and risk management.
Skill
- University degree (university of applied sciences, university) or comparable in Business, Management, or Finance
- Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the industry sector
- Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget.
- Strategic financial planning and analytical mindset.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems
- Proven effectiveness leading professionals in finance and accounting
- Flexible and a self-starter; able to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented.
- Languages: English: very good (verbal and written)
- Advanced Computer Skills in particular MS Office, ERP and Data Management Systems (DMS)
- Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analyzing data, creating reports and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
