Our client, a leading Telecommunications company based in Nicosia, GRS Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be directly involved in validating complex hardware systems and troubleshooting real-world failures. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execute hardware and system-level test plans for telecom systems (GSM / UMTS / LTE)
2. Perform debugging and root cause analysis across components and full systems
3. Validate systems during production and pre-deployment phases
4. Develop scripts/tools (e.g., Python) to support test automation and efficiency
5. Analyze field issues and support on-site deployments when required
6. Collaborate closely with hardware, RF, and software engineers to resolve issues
CANDIDATE PROFILE
7. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar
8. Hands-on experience or strong academic background with relevant projects/internships in hardware testing or troubleshooting
9. Understanding of telecommunications systems (GSM, UMTS, LTE) or related wireless/networking technologies
10. Ability to debug hardware/system failures and identify root causes
11. Ability to read and understand schematics and system-level diagrams
12. Experience working in Linux environments
13. Basic scripting skills (Python) or willingness to develop automation capabilities
14. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
15. Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis when required
16. Availability for occasional off-hours support in critical situations
17. Ability to perform in high-pressure environments
