Overview
The Director of Controlling plays a key role in the BU Infection Control finance teams, to shape and execute the finance strategy. The resource is also responsible to build, drive, develop a controlling framework for the newly created Business Unit Infection Control, leveraging the best of the two worlds in terms of processes and organizations. In this perspective, the Director of Controlling is a business partner to all stakeholders and responsible for setting up one single source of truth for data.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for controlling of the sales and services entities (North America, Europe, China), distribution business and HQ / Global functions
* Support the EVP Finance in developing the vision and goals for the controlling of the newly created Business Unit Infection Control
* Set up and lead a common controlling structure, processes and organization for the newly created Business Unit Infection Control
* Lead the controlling community
* Owner of the data as one single source of truth within the BU
* Responsible for on-time and compliant monthly reporting for the BU
* Own budget, forecasts and monthly rolling forecasts of the BU
* Business partners to all business stakeholders, including BU management and local management of subsidiaries
* Closely collaborate with all finance team members of SteelcoBelimed
* Owns and drives the reviews with subsidiaries and global functions (Monthly Business Reviews)
* Support the planned upgrade of ERPs to SAP S/4HANA in the mid-term
* Ad hoc contribution on specific projects
* Member of the CFO BU IC team
* Lead a small team
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent
Skills & Competencies
* Business partnership mindset
* Both hands-on and helicopter view, ability to connect at all levels
* Proactive, can-do attitude, willing to challenge the status-quo
* Very good Excel skills
* Reliable in accordance with HGB
* Knowledge of IFRS; SWISS GAAP FER or Italina GAAPS is a plus
* Business fluent in English
* Ready to work in a dynamic and international environment
* Interest and willingness to develop further the organization
* Cognos controller or Hyperion is considered a plus
* SAP Experience in DI / CO is considered a plus
* Willingness to travel
Experience & Background
Significant controlling experience, with responsibilities
Exposure to Business
Experience leading a team (direct and indirect reports)
Experience in a group company, in an international and industrial environment, with remote teams
