BJob Description /bbr /pbSummary of the role /b /ppAt Nordson Precision Agricolture, formerly known as bArag, /b we are seeking a bF /bbbin /bancial Analyst /b. /ppThe Financial Analyst II will be responsible to provide support to the division Leadership team by providing relevant and timely financial information to support decision making. This includes forecasting and analysis around global revenue and SGA spend for a $250M + organization. This individual will run the Global Sales forecast, help drive product pricing/margin decisions, and assist in developing a monthly global PL forecast. /ppbRole and Responsibilities /b /pullipResponsible for providing financial analysis and support to all operational areas affecting the division, including commercial sales, operations/p roduction, engineering, and product management. /p /li /ulullipBe the Finance team’s champion behind NBS Next, which is the Nordson Corporation’s approach to rationalizing and growing product sales globally. /p /li /ulullipLead the monthly sales forecast process and coordinate across both the global operations team as well as the sales teams in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. /p /li /ulullipOwn the commissions process for Sales reps, including reviewing for accuracy and ensuring timely payment. /p /li /ulullipDevelop and provide financial analysis and support for the Finance Director, including sales trend analysis, gross margin analysis, spending and cost center analysis, sales commission analysis, headcount reporting, product line PL analysis, and general balance sheet analysis. /p /li /ulullipAdministers, maintains and improves FPA and control policies, procedures, work processes and reporting systems to support growth and efficiency, while reducing complexity and increasing speed. /p /li /ulullipAssi s ts in preparing current estimates, short-range plans, and KPIs. /p /li /ulullipPrepare and analyze daily orders, shipments backlog reporting for multiple product lines. /p /li /ulullipParticipate in the month-end close, including preparation of required journal entries, account reconciliations, and prepare month-end variance analysis for the income statement and working capital. /p /li /ulullipPartners with Accounting to ensure accurate and complete financial records, including monthly closing efforts, and support issue resolution, in compliance with legal requirements, local accounting and US GAAP standards. /p /li /ulullipMeets corporate and divisional requirements in a timely and accurate manner. /p /li /ulullipIdentify and implement best practices and continuous improvement opportunities in the Finance organization. /p /lilipUtilizes appropriate financial analysis techniques, data, and prudent assumptions to evaluate financial results. /p /li /ulullipAssumes other special activities and responsibilities as required. /p /li /ul pbSkills and Qualifications /b /ppDetail-orient ed, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. /pullipBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or relevant Business Management field /p /li /ulullipMinimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including exposure to international manufacturing and distribution operations. /p /li /ulullipStrong Microsoft Excel skills required. /p /li /ulullipStrong initiative, problem solving, financial analysis and communication skills. /p /li /ulullipAbility to work in a matrixed organization while keeping a clear understanding of the objectives and financial commitments of the businesses. /p /li /ulullipSuperior technical financial skills, hands on data modeling skills, balanced with sound business judgment, including the ability to balance financial and operational factors, analyze complex business problems and develop appropriate solutions. /p /li /ulullipAbility to receive assignments in form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. /p /li /ulullipAble to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. /p /li /ulullipAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms. /p /li /ulullipStrong working knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Powerpoint and Word.
