Responsibilities: The Data Engineer will have as main responsibility provide analytics-ready data (accurate, reliable, compliant and accessible) to data consumers (Data Scientists, BI analyst and Data Analysts). Through: Design and manage the infrastructure required for the ingestion, processing, and storage of data in Data Platforms, Data Stores, Distributed Systems, Data Repositories. Design and manage data pipelines, that encompass the journey of data from source to destination systems. Extract, integrate, and organize data from different sources including databases, data warehouses, APIs, and external systems. Clean, transform and prepare data for analysis and reporting. Collaborates with data scientists and analysts to optimize models and algorithms for data quality, security, and governance. Technical skills: A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or related quantitative field; 2- to 4 years of work experience in data management disciplines, including data integration, modeling, optimization and data quality, or other areas directly relevant to data engineering responsibilities and tasks. Knowledge of infrastructure components as: Virtual Machines, Networking, Application Services as Load Balancing and Application Balancing Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS and Azure) and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks) Experience with RDMS (IBM DB2, MySQL, Orable Database, PostgreSQL) NoSQl DB (Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, DinamoDB) DataWarehousing (Oracle Exadata, IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud, Amazon RedShift) DataPipelines (Apache Beam, AirFlow, DataFlow) ETL Tools (IMB Infosphere, AWS Glue, Improvado) Proficiency in languages for querying, manipulating and processing data: SQL for RDB and SQL-like query languages for NoSQL databases Proficiency in programming language as Python, R and/or Java, Knowledge in Unix/Linux Shell and PowerShell Functional skills: Convert business requirement into technical specifications Understanding data potential applications in business Understanding risk of poor data management (data quality, privacy, security, compliance) Interpersonal and collaboration skills to work across different business lines Ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business, IT, and quant stakeholders.
