The Organization
The AWS Finance team provides end-to-end financial support for the multi-billion dollar AWS business, driving customer experience while delivering cost efficiency. You will work with a highly capable team to produce financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and delight customers. This role is within the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team of AWS Data Center Infrastructure Operations Finance, contributing to standardization and team efficiency worldwide. You will coordinate with regional finance teams and act as the finance expert for budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, reporting, internal controls, and ad-hoc analysis related to data center operations. Outputs are included in month-end packages for senior leadership.
The FP&A team manages the financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan, long-range plan, and regular forecast process, providing analytical support to senior management.
Responsibilities
* Partner with Data Center regional finance teams to meet finance objectives.
* Drive month-end reporting and variance analysis of actual spend versus projection.
* Lead ad hoc analysis and month-end financial commentary with cross-functional teams (regional and central finance, financial systems such as TM1, and accounting).
* Ensure compliance with finance and accounting controls and systems.
* Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls.
Basic Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or CPA
* Knowledge of Tableau
* Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
* 2+ years applying KPIs to analyses
* 2+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis

Salary and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
