SENIOR BUYER O&G
Organization: Direct Report to the Procurement Director
Main Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the team of Buyers, providing direct support to the Procurement Director and ensuring alignment with company purchasing strategies.
* Manage procurement activities for metal structures, mechanical components, installation services, and auxiliary equipment related to air filtration systems, gas turbines, and industrial plants.
* Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, and Site Teams to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality procurement execution.
* Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers of fabrications, plant components, installation works, and industrial machinery parts, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
* Lead sourcing and purchasing of turnkey packages, including filters, dampers, diverters, and support structures for energy and environmental applications.
* Drive supplier performance monitoring, focusing on delivery reliability, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to process optimization and standardization, promoting efficiency, transparency, and compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
* Achievement of procurement savings targets (YoY cost reduction %).
* On-time delivery rate in line with project schedules (>95%).
* Supplier performance scorecards regularly updated and reviewed.
* Full compliance with internal procurement procedures and quality standards (ISO / company-specific).
* Effective team coordination and capability development within the buying group.
* Process improvement initiatives implemented and tracked (KPI: lead time reduction, PO accuracy, supplier response time).
Requirements
* Proven experience in procurement within the industrial machinery or plant engineering sector, ideally within the energy or environmental industries.
* Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly, and installation activities.
* Knowledge of the supplier market for metal structures, process equipment, and installation services.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and solid understanding of procurement processes and ERP workflows.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills, combined with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
* Availability to travel abroad as required by project activities.
