About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on HR Operations Manager who combines strong HR administrative expertise with the ability to manage daily operations and ensure full compliance with labor regulations, health & safety standards, and cross-border employment rules (Italy, France, Spain). The role is based in Milan, with partial flexibility, and will report directly to the Chief People Officer.
The right candidate will be directly involved in HR processes, ensuring accuracy in compliance tasks, managing operational issues in multiple jurisdictions, while also reviewing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and driving practical improvements to keep the company efficient and future-ready.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR administration: hiring, contract changes, mandatory communications, secondments, etc., in Italy, France, and Spain.
- Ensure full compliance with Italian, French, and Spanish labor law, including health & safety standards, workplace risk assessments, and local regulatory obligations.
- Work closely with payroll providers, labor consultants, and local institutions across jurisdictions.
- Contribute proactively to the improvement of HR operations processes in all relevant countries.
- Design and maintain clear procedures and workflows conforming to local compliance and safety regulations.
- Track HR KPIs and prepare accurate multi-country reports for management.
- Collaborate proactively with management and other departments to support business goals.
- Oversee and manage HRIS systems to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and safety-related reporting.
Requirements
- Solid experience in HR administration and operations, preferably in a multi-jurisdictional environment (Italy, France, Spain).
- Knowledge of labor law and compliance procedures in Italy, France, and Spain, including health & safety obligations and workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities across multiple legal environments.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
- Proactive attitude, curiosity, and rapid learning ability, with a willingness to improve continuously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
