We were meant to fly.Job DescriptionAs Intern - Quality Engineer you will support the delivery of products or services at a high level of quality, contributing to the establishment of a robust and effective process that aligns with both external and internal quality requirements. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements, manufacturing processes and inspection methods, fostering on‐time delivery while maintaining high‐quality standards. You will actively support the team in identifying and leading cross‐functional projects aimed at enhancing product quality and improving productivity in manufacturing processes. Collaboration with global engineering, supplier quality, and supply chain teams will be integral as the intern analyzes data, identifies root causes and implements solutions to address manufacturing quality issues.Essential Responsibilities

Actively participate in all activities related to product validation (First Article Inspection, Validation Package collection and verification, etc.)Participate in the refinement of Process FMEA's and participate in process review (procedure review/gap analysis)Participate in all activities related to the execution of all customer auditsLearn how to manage an action plan to introduce corrective actions and Lesson Learnt implementationLearn how to manage non‐conformity cases, preliminary review activity, KPI tracking and reporting for Daily Shop ManagementParticipate to RCCA (Root Causes and Corrective Actions) activities through a cross‐functional team to improve production processes and reduce risk of customer escapesDetermine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processesBe a facilitator of customer returns investigations and resolutionsTake part in daily meetings with Manufacturing/Quality/Engineering team

Qualifications / Requirements

Master's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar fieldUnderstanding of aviation propulsion systems principlesMechanical aptitude (i.e. understanding of mechanical processes)Knowledge of technical drawingsKnowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Power PointFluent Italian and EnglishAttention to detail and accuracyCurious and eager to learnAnalytical mindset and problem solving skillsWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

Effective problem identification and solution skillsAbility to work effectively with cross‐functional work groupsKnowledge of materials used for the aviation industryGeneral knowledge of main quality problem solving tools (e.g. Ishikawa diagram, 5Wx3L, Pareto Diagrams, Control Charts, Gage R&R, etc.)Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAble to coordinate many tasks concurrentlyStudy or working experience abroad will be considered as a plus
