We are looking for a person who will join Moleskine as a EMEA Financial Controller for a fixed-term contract. The position is based in our headquarter office in Milan. You will be responsible for financial controlling activities across the EMEA region, ensuring accurate P&L management, forecasting and performance analysis. The role acts as a key business partner for commercial and management teams, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
Main responsibilities: • Full ownership and analysis of the EMEA P&L, including variance analysis vs budget and forecast • Preparation and coordination of Budget and Forecast (BGT / Rolling Forecast) processes for the EMEA region • Monitoring of sales performance, margins and cost structure, identifying risks and opportunities • Development of ad hoc financial reports and KPIs for management and HQ • Acting as a financial business partner to the commercial team, commercial initiatives and strategic decisions • Supervision, coordination and development of a junior controlling resource • Support to management in financial evaluations, scenario analysis and business cases
Requirements: • Seniority: 3+ years of experience in Controlling / Finance roles • Academic background: Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or similar • Career path: Previous experience in Financial Controlling, Business Controlling or FP&A within structured organizations • IT skills: Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and reporting / BI tools • Soft skills & competencies: Strong analytical mindset, business orientation, ability to work autonomously, effective communication skills, proactive approach and capability to partner with senior stakeholders
