Job Title: Galileo System Security Engineer Location: Rome / Milan / Genova, Italy (Mission abroad in Netherlands for at least 1 year) Mission Ensuring compliance with design requirements and documentation at system, segment and element level. Managing activities, preparing deliverables, supporting engineering teams, and reporting progress to stakeholders while adhering to quality standards and schedules. Key Accountabilities
Maintaining the general security requirements and the requirements of relevant Galileo System functions at System and Segment level as well as the associated documentation baseline; Maintaining the relevant Galileo System functions within the applicable documentation, participating in segment and element design reviews to ensure proper design and implementation of requirements in line with system expectations; Contribute to the Service/System/Projects Reviews and Boards as appropriate; Technical management of own projects, tasks execution in compliance with the expected delivery, milestones, and project schedule. Provide direct or indirect support to engineers or engineering teams by gathering data for permit applications, submitting documentation to officials and other day‑to‑day duties; Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines under the supervision of the discipline Technical Leader; Prepare the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering baseline, etc.) Prepare progress reports and present them to clients and applicable stakeholders. Be aware and understand the Quality Policy and RINA QMS.
Education Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Cyber Security. Qualifications
Proven experience in system engineering including planning, design, development, integration and verification testing of medium and large hardware and software systems; experience in classified systems development and verification would be an advantage; Design, development, deployment and testing of complex secure systems; Knowledge Satellite navigation principles and related security architectures; Knowledge and practice in the application of ESA ECSS Standards; General knowledge of cyber security concepts would be beneficial; Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French is an advantage.
