At Argotec, we’re not just building satellites; we’re shaping the future of space innovation. /p pTo support our company’s growth we are looking for a bSpace Missions Engineer /b who will be part of our bSystems Engineering Unit /b. In this role, you will contribute to the development and leadership of innovative space missions based on Small Satellites, with a primary focus on the technical coordination and management of a multi‑disciplinary project team. /p pWe foster a collaborative environment where every Argonaut can contribute with their ideas and expertise, create meaningful value together, and transform feedback and mistakes into opportunities for learning and innovation — growing both professionally and personally, as individuals and as a team. /p h3DUTIES /h3 pAs a bSpace Missions Engineer /b, you will act as the Lead System Engineer for the mission development projects. You will ensure that every mission meets its end‑to‑end technical objectives, while leading and coordinating the technical project team toward successful mission implementation. /p ul liLead the end‑to‑end development and coordination of space projects from phase A to phase E, taking of all the interfaces and interactions between Space Segment, Ground Segment and Launch Segment. /li liManage the technical project’s schedule and implementation on short‑ and long‑term basis (knowledge of JIRA, MS Project are preferred) on tools like JIRA. /li liDay‑to‑day coordination with the Technical Team, Program Manager and Product Assurance Manager. /li liDaily interface with Platform Systems Engineering, VV Systems Engineering and AIT Engineering. /li liCoordination and supervision of activities of each subsystem responsible. /li liDefinition, management and review of technical requirements and specifications. /li liSupport the definition of Mission Concepts of Operations and Mission profiles. /li liIteration with procurement department according to mission needs. /li liContribution to the system engineering plans, including design, development plan, and verification plan. /li liSupervision and coordination of technical reviews execution and data packages delivery with customers and suppliers. /li liInvolvement in Quality Assurance/Product Assurance activities such as (external/internal) NRB and NCR management, Configuration and Control Processes. /li /ul h3GENERAL REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Aerospace, Space Engineering or related technical field. /li liAt least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Lead System Engineer on space/satellite projects. /li liExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams. /li liHigh flexibility and team‑working capability. /li liHands‑on and proactive approach. /li liPragmatic approach to problem solving. /li liAbility to work within multidisciplinary and international teams. /li liExcellent written and oral communication in English. /li /ul h3REQUIRED EXPERIENCE SKILLS /h3 ul liProven experience in managing space projects and multi‑disciplinary technical teams. /li liStrong ability to prioritize and supervise technical activities. /li liKnowledge of mission phases and related activities. /li liPrevious experience in design, development, and qualification of satellites. /li liDemonstrate a good understanding of satellite architecture and design. /li liKnowledge of System Configuration Control and Management. /li liExcellent knowledge of system engineering tools and processes. /li liExperience in managing industrial activities, including reviews. /li liFamiliarity with aerospace standards (ECSS, MIL, NASA STD). /li liKnowledge of space component technologies and European Small Satellite market. /li /ul h3ADDITIONAL ASSETS /h3 ul liExperience with Model‑Base Systems Engineering (MBSE). /li liExperience applying Agile principles to technical project management. /li liKnowledge of JIRA and Confluence. /li liExperience with CubeSat and SmallSat platforms. /li liExperience with in‑orbit spacecraft operations. /li liPerformed projects review under ESA supervision. /li liFamiliarity with private Space sector dynamics. /li /ul h3WHY JOIN ARGOTEC? /h3 ul liOpportunity to work with highly motivated colleagues in a very innovative environment. /li liProfessional training and career development opportunities. /li liFlexible working time schedule and a hybrid work policy. /li liMonthly "Free-Day" – every second Friday: time off to dedicate to your family and/or hobbies. /li liA diversified community that organizes extra‑work and fun activities. /li liCompetitive compensation commensurate with experience. /li /ul pOur selection process is tailored to each role and includes at least a call with our Talent Acquisition Team, a technical evaluation, and a final in‑person meeting.
