Chia Laguna is a Sardinian world-class resort set among Italy s best sea with gold sands and crystal water and is currently living an exciting second phase of its history. The Resort has a huge potential in terms of C&E and we are looking for a brilliant candidate lover of Italy and eager to raise the bar to sky-high levels. It has one of the biggest and most important MICE and C&E facilities in Sardinia with super appealing stylish furnishing flexible and modular spaces. Thanks to the recent re-branding its features and the unique location we are so enthusiastic to offer the opportunity to highly experienced candidates who want to live as protagonists a memorable phase in Sardinian and Italian Hospitality. Mandatory Requirements A minimum of 5 years experience in MICE featuring; Significant experience in a reactive and pro-active MICE sales role; A minimum of 3 years in an international hotel group (ideally but not necessarily Hilton International) and a cluster environment; Significant experience in leading a Team; Computer literate with excellent presentation skills and highly confident with Microsoft Office s suite (especially PowerPoint); Strong analytical and strategic mind-set accompanied by regular use of daily / weekly reporting systems; Native or fluent in Italian (written and spoken); Fluent in English (written and spoken); Additional language (French or German would be considered a plus); Confident use of PMS (Protel OnQ PM) and CRM (Zoho Delphi); Must be a EU Citizen or in possession of an Italian work visa; Responsibilities The C&E Manager we are looking for must be extremely organized and excel at internal communication time management and the ability to relate and manage our C&E Team. Focuses on negotiating and converting MICE opportunities. Is able to create strong and durable relationships with clients at different levels / segments. Must be able to set personal high standards and motivate the team to over-perform. Is a natural leader who sets personal and team s goals with a strong capability of guiding his / her team through the process to reach the objectives with success maximizing every opportunity. Monitors RFPs options and negotiations for group bookings congresses and events in close cooperation with the pro-active sales team as well as C&E team members. Proactively searches for such opportunities and supports the conversion of active requests. Manages hotel reactive sales plans to ensure they accurately interpret and support the hotel strategy and use these plans to focus sales and negotiation efforts on markets and segments that will lead to achieving or ideally exceed business objectives. Has strong strategical skills in predicting the upcoming changes in MICE environment but also analytical ones in understanding the KPIs and forecasting numbers. Works closely with the Senior Management Team to identify and drive focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support. Has strong capabilities in time management and coordination of both sales and operational aspects of every event. Strategically strengthens and expands the hotel s customer base in accordance with the pro-active sales team. Executes initiatives as outlined but swiftly implements strategies / tactics to offset changes in markets the economy or if driven by the competitive set. Organizes and / or attends scheduled group and related meetings. Prepares company contracts for events in accordance with current business and pricing conditions. Has strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate pro-activity in collaborating with other departments of the property in order to make any experience of every guest a successful one. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to the importance of the brand s philosophy strong written and oral communication skills experience in negotiating MICE business event management time management leadership project management and MICE sales. Will adhere to all company and brand procedures and plans to contribute to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Reports to the Director of Sales of Chia Laguna Resort. Location base : Chia Laguna Sardinia Manage and motivate the C&E Chia Laguna Sales & Operations Team. Ensure the correct management of RFPs following company and brand standard procedures. Qualify every request prepare and deliver excellent C&E proposals customizing offers in accordance with client needs. Ensure the team follows a proper and regular update of our CRM with opportunity updates calls account information tasks and projects. Ensure our two PMS (Protel and OnQ) are properly and regularly updated by the C&E team. Event Management from A to Z including the operational organization at property level. Regular and timely updating of CRM with opportunity updates calls account information tasks projects etc. Focus on the teams KPI conversions in accordance with assigned goals. Actively seek opportunities for new business and cross selling for Chia Laguna and all sister properties ensuring the team is aligned and on board. Contribute ideas to improve standards and new ideas of products and services offered. Actively coach the C&E Sales & Operations Teams. Adjust forecasts based on the current situation. Prepare reports and stats for the Group Director of Sales & Marketing and the Director of Sales on weekly / monthly basis. Attend sales and commercial internal meetings. Participate and / or conduct site inspections and Fam Trips on property. Preferred Requirements Bachelor s Degree in one of the following : Hotel Management Tourism Economic or Marketing studies; Master in Conference & Events Project Management; Social Media Passion; Photography; Previous Experience in Hotel Operations; Personality and Skills Sets high personal performance standards; Plans organizes and uses a systematic approach to get things done; Manages time effectively; Prioritizes actions and tasks through to completion; Actively seeks opportunities to develop and learn from experience; Communicates openly and clearly both verbally and in writing; Pitches information at the appropriate level; Actively listens to the needs of others before contributing; Develops positive working relationships at all levels; Self-reliant works with minimal control and direction; Manages conflict effectively; Seeks innovative solutions; Makes conscious decisions to go for action; Accepts personal responsibility to make things happen; Constantly reviews in order to improve; Acts on own initiative when appropriate; Thinks ahead developing contingency plans where necessary; Presents powerful arguments to persuade others; Expresses confidence in own ideas and networks with others; Adapts quickly and positively to new situations; Continues to be productive in changing circumstances; Shows passion for sales and target-based performance; Is able to work in a highly pressured environment; Features good listening skills and the ability to anticipate client needs; If efficient at reading situations understanding environments and responding accordingly; Has well-developed interpersonal and adaptive management skills; Boasts a mentality focused on client service and taking responsibility beyond direct duties; Plans team development and empowerment.
