Job Summary
The HR Coordinator supports the HR Manager and school leadership by ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, payroll, compliance, and day‑to‑day staff assistance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage administrative tasks throughout the employee lifecycle: preparing employment contracts and amendments, maintaining accurate personnel files, coordinating probation periods, contract renewals, and performance reviews, and ensuring HR records comply with data protection requirements.
* Support recruitment: post vacancies, manage candidate pipelines, arrange interviews, complete reference checks, coordinate safeguarding documentation, and organise onboarding and induction for new staff.
* Prepare monthly payroll inputs (absences, overtime, allowances), update HR system data, track leave and attendance, and collaborate with Finance and Payroll teams to resolve discrepancies.
* Handle daily HR queries from staff, provide basic guidance on policies and procedures, and support informal employee relations by preparing documents, scheduling meetings and keeping accurate records.
* Ensure safeguarding and compliance: verify all staff have up‑to‑date background checks and certifications, track expiry dates, support audit and inspection preparation, and implement HR and safeguarding policies across the school.
* Coordinate mandatory and optional training, track completion, and assist in delivering staff development activities.
* Contribute to HR reporting: prepare information on headcount, absences, recruitment progress, and staffing changes.
* Support HR projects such as system updates, wellbeing initiatives, and communication of HR updates, collaborating with Finance, IT, Facilities, Admissions, Academic teams, and regional HR.

Required Qualifications
* Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
* Two to four years of experience in HR coordination or an HR generalist role
* Experience in recruitment, onboarding, payroll preparation, personnel administration, and compliance processes is highly valued
