H3Construction Manager / Project Manager /h3pServes as a Construction Manager with overall responsibility for maintaining long-term and day-to-day surveillance over the full range of office and field activities associated with contract construction activities for multiple projects. /ppActs as a Project Manager on select projects when necessary. /ppParticipates actively in construction and engineering management decisions related to military and civil construction missions. /ppManages the full spectrum of field and office engineering functions, providing advice and guidance to surveillance personnel on construction engineering and administrative issues. /ppEngages in design review conferences with customers, District Office, and private A-E firms to discuss construction aspects and potential problems. /ppServes as the authoritative on-site resource, evaluating contractors' construction schedules, safety programs, quality control procedures, plant layouts, and road systems. /ppMakes authoritative interpretations of plans, specifications, and engineering determinations to ensure methods and materials meet contract requirements, resulting in safe and sound structures. /ppEnsures contractor compliance with labor laws and proper documentation of work and materials used. /ppServes as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) on select multi-million dollar projects. /ppProvides leadership continuity for active projects within the area. /ph3Requirements /h3ulliOne-year trial/probationary period may be required. /liliSubmission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry and annually thereafter. /liliMale applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification for Selective Service Registration. /liliProof of U.S. Citizenship required. /liliCompliance with the Exceptional Family Member Program as per DoD Instruction 1315.19. /liliDriving a vehicle is required; a USAREUR driver’s license must be obtained within 30 days of arrival. /liliAbility to obtain and maintain a no-fee passport and associated visa, if authorized. /liliEligibility for a SECRET security clearance or access; background investigation and credit check required. /liliValid state Driver's License required. /liliAbility to obtain and maintain a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) Certification within 6 months of employment. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3pOpen to US Citizens. /ppRequires one year of specialized experience managing field construction and engineering functions, providing guidance on construction and administrative issues, and advising on complex design problems related to military and civil construction missions.
