Mission
The Energy Management Optimization Engineer will lead and contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of energy optimization initiatives within RINA’s Sustainability and Business Innovation Division. The role operates within a group specializing in advanced energy management and optimization services for cities, buildings, and energy communities, combining engineering expertise with policy awareness and innovation management.
Key Accountabilities

- Energy consumption assessment in industrial, manufacturing, and urban contexts; energy modelling, scenario analysis, and techno‑economic evaluations; development of energy transition projects (EMS, smart districts, PEDs).
- Energy optimization, integration of renewables, and storage systems; design of flexibility services and demand response strategies; development and use of digital tools (digital twins, AI, forecasting models).
- Technology integration with existing systems (SCADA, IoT, data platforms).
- Participation in EU‑funded projects, pilots, and large‑scale initiatives; performance monitoring and continuous improvement through digital solutions; use of knowledge management and AI tools for reporting and analysis.
Education

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Qualifications

- 2–3 years of experience in energy assessments, energy efficiency projects, or sustainable energy solutions, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or district/urban environments.
- Demonstrated involvement in EU‑funded projects, pilots, or large‑scale energy demonstrations is an asset.
