About the Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
* Analyze bid opportunities and vet project viability.
* Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks to assess scope.
* Interpret civil drawings, specs, and addenda.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates based on takeoffs, historical data, and vendor input.
* Use tools like Bluebeam, Agtek, and HCSS HeavyBid for takeoffs and estimating.
* Present bids to clients and coordinate with internal stakeholders for seamless project handoff.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients to promote repeat business and referrals.
* Track industry trends, costs, and innovations to inform competitive bids.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of estimating experience with self-performing Heavy Civil/Highway contractors.
* Proven success estimating earthwork, mass grading, asphalt, concrete paving, and civil structures.
* Proficiency with estimating tools (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK, Bluebeam).
* Experience with DOT and municipal projects highly preferred.
* Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
