Overview
One of our clients, a leading fashion company in Qatar, is seeking an exceptionally talented Head of Design to lead the creative vision and design direction of the fashion department. This is a rare opportunity for a highly creative, innovative, and visionary designer to shape the future of the brand while maintaining its luxury identity and global competitiveness.
Responsibilities
* Define and lead the overall creative direction, seasonal collections, and brand identity.
* Develop innovative fashion concepts, ensuring alignment with global trends while respecting brand heritage.
* Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept, sketching, fabric sourcing, sampling, and production.
* Manage and inspire a team of designers, pattern makers, and stylists to deliver world-class designs.
* Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and retail teams to align creative output with business goals.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers, textile manufacturers, and artisans to ensure premium quality.
* Present collections and creative ideas to executives and stakeholders for approval.
* Stay ahead of international fashion trends, sustainability practices, and new technologies.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design (Parsons, ESMOD, Central Saint Martins, or equivalent is a plus).
* 8–12 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven portfolio showcasing exceptional creativity, originality, and craftsmanship.
* Strong knowledge of fabrics, tailoring, construction, and luxury fashion standards.
* Experience in leading seasonal collections (ready-to-wear, couture, or luxury).
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a creative team.
* Global outlook with exposure to international markets and trends.
* Strong business acumen with an understanding of how design impacts brand positioning and profitability.
