We are looking for a Finance Manager for Southern Europe at an important luxury maison. The South Europe retail zone is based in Milan and covers retail operations across 8 countries: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro, and Turkey.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director / CFO, the Finance Manager will play a key role, overseeing the daily operations of the finance function and coordinating strategically with various departments.
The Finance Manager will have two controllers directly reporting to them and will supervise relationships with accounting back offices across the zone.
Key Responsibilities:Accounting and Treasury
* Supervise monthly and quarterly accounting closings according to group standards
* Perform ad hoc analyses and audits of the balance sheet
* Review statutory accounts and participate in annual audits
* Monitor daily financial operations
* Review tax returns and ensure statutory compliance
* Participate in the implementation or enhancement of new accounting systems
* Review and validate payments, including suppliers, payroll, taxes, and intercompany transactions
* Forecast cash flow for different countries, considering local specificities
Controlling
* Analyze weekly sales performance using dedicated KPIs
* Supervise sales forecasting for various periods: budget, revised, and rolling forecasts
* Analyze monthly performance of each country and cost center against forecasts
* Monitor costs and follow-up on budgets with retail and head-office departments
* Develop business plans for store openings and renovations
* Conduct ad hoc business reviews
Profilo del candidato ideale
Requisiti:
* Master’s degree in business or finance, with strong IFRS accounting skills
* Minimum 7 years of experience in an international company
* Analytical mindset
* Negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships
* Experience in retail is a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Attention to detail and data analysis skills
* Ability to meet deadlines
