We are looking for a Technical Project Leader to join our Team based in Calderara di Reno (BO).
Mission
The Technical Project Leader is responsible to manage projects transversal to platforms (gearboxes and motors), in the reference sector, during all macro-phases of product development up to the prototyping phase. Guarantees the achievement of project objectives, including performance, cost and time for product development projects.
Responsibilities
Project Management:
* Collect product requirements from product marketing (push projects) or sales (pull projects)
* Design detailed technical project plans defining all activities necessary to deliver the R&D Project from Application Analysis phase to Product Validation and prototyping
* Coordinate and monitor the project activities with the aim to guarantee the achievement of project goals, including performance, cost and time
* Monitor progress of the activities securing delivery of the expected results (investment, BOM, spec’s, drawings, test results, technical support to purchasing, tooling build certification, Manufacturing Process Plan, Approval Plan) according to the original plan.
* Elaborate technical reports to summarize project results and highlight critical issues and possible solutions to guarantee project delivery
Product/Solutions Development:
* Guarantee definition of product specification collecting requirements from Product Marketing/Sales/Local CAE/Customers, technical feasibility analysis from Platform Leader, manufacturing feasibility from Operation Engineering and Manufacturing
* Guarantee elaboration of a technical document with product configuration and functionality assumptions
* Facilitate and guide activities of a cross‑functional product development team to make sure they meet the necessary requirements and specifications
* Guarantee performance and reliability requirements, cost compliance with safety regulations, as well as manufacturability, logistics management for prototipation
Testing Evaluation:
* Guarantee experimental test results analysis (bench or machine), identifying root causes of problems and defining action plans for critical issue resolution
* Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed company performance requirements
Prototype Release:
* Define materials, tools and processes for development of prototypes based on technical requirements with involved functions (Purchasing, Operation Engineering, Manufacturing)
* Support Operation Engineers during assembly and production process definition
* Support quality control function to identify production or performance problems
* Manage customer interaction for prototype validation or optimization
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Knowledge of CAD/PLM systems, preferably NX Unigraphics and Teamcenter
* Good understanding of technical drawings and design software
* Proficiency in common office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
