Your impact

Jacobs is looking for an Environmental Consultant, joining the environmental team to support exciting and innovative projects, in Italy and abroad.

Please note that as of now, we are looking for a portfolio of the possible candidates for the future. We do not have an immediate hiring need for the time being.

By joining Jacobs you’ll be able to develop specialist skills, thanks to the integration of training programs with the cooperation with a diverse range of professionals (engineers, geologists, chemists, etc.) within an international, dynamic, young and diverse environment.

As environmental consultant you will have the opportunity to support a wide range of environmental projects, with the following responsibilities


* Based on your skills and experience, supporting the development of environmental projects, in all the different phases of projects life cycle, providing added value as per your capacities;
* Conducting and supervising fieldwork, including characterization, remediation, site assessment activities;
* Collecting, analyze, presenting and reporting environmental data;
* Support project managers in the development and management of project tasks;
* Ensuring compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, H&S procedures;
* Being involved in developing company values, such as technical excellence and innovation, sustainability, health and safety, inclusion and diversity;
* Developing assigned tasks in a proactive way;
* Building and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, and projects stakeholders;

Here's what you'll need

* Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences (or equivalent);
* At least 2 years' experience in environmental projects, preferably for multinational private clients;
* Solid technical background relative to environmental topics (contaminated site characterization, human health risk assessment, and remediation techniques);
* Availability and interest to support field work, mainly consisting of (but not limited to) drilling supervision and sampling (groundwater / soil / soil gas sampling) and/or remediation plant O&M activities;
* Direct experience related to environmental (phase I and phase II) and compliance due diligence;
* Knowledge and application of sustainability and energy optimization principles;
* Data management and reporting skills;
* Knowledge of the application of national environmental (D.Lgs. 152/06) and H&S (D.Lgs. 81/08) legislation;
* Familiarity with Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), GIS and CAD software;
* Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English;
* Good communication and teamwork skills;
* Mindset open to innovation, digitalization, visual communication.
