Role Overview As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at SudGlobal, you will be the visionary technical leader responsible for shaping, building, and scaling our core technology platform. This role requires a deep understanding of lean startup principles, validated learning, and actionable metrics. You will drive technological innovation to empower Southern Italian startups, facilitating their language development, financial optimization, and connections with international investors. Additionally, you will attract and develop a high-caliber technical team, fostering a culture of excellence and impact. Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Visionary Technical Leadership: Define and communicate SudGlobal’s technical vision and roadmap, aligning with our mission to support Southern Italian startups in global markets. Leverage cutting-edge technologies, including digitalization and AI, to enhance our offerings, especially in real estate and broader Italian industries. Product Development & Innovation: Oversee the entire lifecycle of our app-supported platform, from design to deployment and iteration. Apply lean startup methodologies, including Build-Measure-Learn, rapid prototyping, and MVP development, to ensure user needs are met efficiently. Technical Architecture & Scalability: Design a robust, scalable, and secure architecture capable of supporting growth and diverse functionalities such as e-learning, financial tools, and investor platforms. Focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness to ensure profitability. Data & Analytics: Establish key metrics and dashboards to measure program effectiveness, including language proficiency, funding success, and tax savings. Promote data-driven decision-making based on validated metrics. Team Leadership & Culture: Build and mentor a talented engineering and product team. Foster a culture of technical excellence, discipline, and honesty, emphasizing mission over personal gain. Provide training to enhance skills and productivity. Cross-Functional & External Collaboration: Work closely with departments like language, finance, partnerships, and marketing to integrate technology seamlessly. Engage with external stakeholders, including the Keiretsu Forum and tech partners, to advance the company's mission and strategic opportunities. Support fundraising by articulating the technological vision. Qualifications: Proven experience as a CTO or senior tech leader, preferably in startups or high-growth tech companies. Strong background in software development, cloud architecture, and cross-platform apps. Experience with lean startup, agile, and data-driven product management. Ability to build and manage diverse engineering teams, fostering talent and a high-performance culture. Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex tech concepts to non-technical stakeholders and engaging with startup and investor communities. A passion for empowering entrepreneurs and supporting economic development. Experience with EdTech, FinTech, or investor relations platforms is a plus. Familiarity with the Italian startup scene or international team experience is desirable.
