The Role
Education Assistants Mainstream work in collaboration with College staff to promote an inclusive learning environment that caters for students with diverse needs.
You will work under teacher direction, and work to assist students in achieving their full potential through the creation and preparation of resources as well as the successful implementation of specialised education programs, including one-on-one or small group intervention sessions.
Suitable applicants will ideally be timetabled to specific students or classes, and work with classroom teachers to best determine how to adjust instruction/activities to support students access the learning program.
As such, the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with teaching staff to best plan individual learning goals for students is highly desirable.
Suitable applicants will ideally be flexible, highly collaborative, and willing to share their skills and expertise.
We seek enthusiastic team members who ideally show initiative in adapting tasks to meet student needs, who continually reflect on their practice and who are open to being observed and receiving feedback to guide their professional growth.
You will ideally contribute advice and expertise; collaborating with staff to support and monitor student progress.
