SWS Computacion is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide first- and second-line technical support to staff and clients. This hands-on role troubleshoots hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues; performs system setup and upgrades; documents incidents; and assists with user training and IT asset management.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to user requests via phone, email, and ticketing system; diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support Windows and macOS environments, common business applications, and basic network connectivity.
- Perform routine system updates, backups, and endpoint security checks.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff and follow through to resolution.
- Maintain IT inventory and update documentation, procedures, and knowledge-base articles.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding, account setup, and permissions.
- Provide occasional after-hours on-call support as required.
Qualifications (required)
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on IT support experience.
- Practical knowledge of Windows and macOS desktop environments.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, and common network devices.
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote-support tools.
- Strong customer-service orientation, clear verbal and written communication.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple incidents.
- Valid work authorization for Canada.
Qualifications (preferred)
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 or similar certifications.
- Experience with Active Directory, basic scripting, or imaging/deployment tools.
- Previous experience in SMB or managed services environments.
- French language skills an asset.
