See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality : Position Overview : The Commercial Products QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Navico’s commercial products, focusing on radar and ECDIS software systems. This hands-on role in a small team requires a flexible, curious individual with a strong interest in maritime systems. Responsibilities include developing and executing test plans, supporting production requirements, and coordinating customer validation activities. Essential Functions : Develop and execute test plans and cases for Navico’s commercial products, focusing on radar and ECDIS software solutions. Identify, document, and report defects and issues. Plan and execute testing to meet IMO Wheelmark requirements. Liaise with and coordinate customer validation, communicating with validators to identify and reproduce issues. Assist Product Manager and Product Experts in replicating field issues and verifying resolutions. Collaborate with the Product Manager and Product Development and Engineering teams to clarify requirements for new features. Work with other testers and developers across Navico’s global organization to implement best practices. Participate in team meetings and provide input on testing activities. Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing, including positive and negative scenarios. Maintain accurate records of testing activities and outcomes. Communicate with validators to identify and reproduce issues. Work independently within the scope of larger projects and deliver outcomes on high-level, often vaguely defined tasks. Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental. While certain skillsets are necessary, others can be developed along the way. Required Qualifications : 5 years of experience in software quality testing or related field Technical curiosity High expertise in testing techniques Proficiency with defect testing tools (e.g., TestRail, TestLink, JIRA) Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Preferred Qualifications : Experience with IMO Wheelmark system compliance, especially radar and ECDIS University degree in technology or a related field Advanced knowledge of automation frameworks Working Conditions : This is a hybrid remote position involving regular interaction with test labs and equipment. Employees are expected to work from the office approximately 3 days per week.
